Keep in mind that a stomach-reducing surgery affects how contraceptives work. The reliability of the contraceptive can no longer be guaranteed. The active components are sometimes less well absorbed after the surgery. On the other hand, fertility can increase so that you can get pregnant faster. It is therefore very important that you, together with your gynecologist look for an alternative contraceptive (spiral, contraceptive injection, etc).
A pregnancy after surgery is possible, but we recommend that you wait at least 1 year, preferably 2 years after surgery until your weight is relatively stable.
